• Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
• Declare conflicts of interest and decline reviewing when appropriate.
• Report suspected misconduct such as plagiarism or duplicated publication.

3. Author Responsibilities

• Submit only original work that has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
• Acknowledge and cite all sources used.
• Disclose financial support and any potential conflicts of interest.
• Provide access to research data if required for review purposes.
• Report errors discovered after publication to allow retraction or correction.

4. Plagiarism and Academic Misconduct

All manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using specialized detection tools. Any misconduct such as data fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism will result in rejection or retraction, and may lead to notifying the author's institution.

5. Retraction and Correction Policy

Articles may be retracted when major ethical issues are identified. Minor issues may be addressed with corrections or publisher notices to maintain integrity of the scholarly record. Retraction notices remain permanently accessible and linked to the original article.

6. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their articles. All content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License, which permits reuse with proper citation of the original work.

7. Archiving and Digital Preservation

EJHS ensures long-term accessibility through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) and LOCKSS. This guarantees permanent access to published content even in the event of system failure.

8. Research Involving Human Participants

Authors must ensure ethical approval from recognized committees when required, and maintain confidentiality, anonymity, and informed consent of participants.

9. Publisher Responsibilities

• Support editorial independence and scholarly integrity.
• Implement policies against publication misconduct.
• Handle complaints and ethical concerns transparently and efficiently.
